Size Charts Vary by Product
Every pup is built differently — and that's what makes them special. Finding the right fit is simple when you measure your dog the right way.
Each item on our website includes its own size chart on the product page. That means a Large in one design may fit differently than a Large in another. Always follow the specific chart shown for the product you're purchasing.
If you're between two sizes, always go with the larger size. A slightly roomier fit is more comfortable for your dog and easier to put on and take off.
Step by step
How to Measure Your Dog
Use a soft fabric measuring tape. Measure while your dog is standing upright, and keep the tape snug but not tight — you should be able to fit two fingers underneath.
Neck
Measure around the base of the neck where a collar would naturally sit. Keep it snug but comfortable — two fingers of breathing room is ideal.
Chest (Girth) — Most Important
Wrap the tape around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. This is the most critical measurement for a comfortable fit. When in doubt, use this number to choose your size.
Back Length
Measure from the base of the collar (where the neck meets the shoulders) to the base of the tail. Run the tape along the spine with your dog standing naturally.

How to Measure Your Dog's Paw
Sizing for dog shoes works differently from clothing. You'll need your dog's paw width to find the right fit — not their weight or body measurements.
Stand your dog on a flat surface
Place your dog on a hard, flat floor with their weight evenly distributed. The paw naturally spreads slightly when bearing weight — this is the measurement you want.
Measure the widest point
Use a ruler or soft tape measure across the widest part of the paw — from the outside of the outermost toe on each side. Do not measure length — width is what determines shoe fit.
Match to the product size chart
Each shoe listing includes a paw width chart. Match your measurement to the chart and size up if you're between sizes — a slightly wider shoe is always better than one that's too tight.
Measure all four paws and use the largest measurement. Front paws are typically wider than back paws. If your dog's paws are at the top of a size range, size up for a more comfortable fit.

Where to Find Size Information
Every Hype Pups product has its own dedicated size chart built directly into the product page. Look for the Size Chart link or tab directly below the Add to Cart button — that's where you'll find the exact measurements for that specific item.
Product Size Charts
Each product page has a size chart tab showing exact measurements for that specific style. Always check this before ordering — never rely on the general chart alone.
